Mental & Emotional Stability
Have you ever had those moments when you felt like you have given all that you have and that you have nothing left? Have you ever felt disrespected or like you don't matter? Have you ever been angry at yourself for not taking up for yourself or not recognizing your worth? What did you do with those feelings? Did you wallow in self-pity? Did you play the victim or play the blame game? Or did you decide to use this as fuel for the fire of purpose?
Sometimes we find ourselves in difficult positions and we don't know how to mentally, emotionally, or spiritually prepare for the challenge. We don't feel stable enough to make sound decisions, even when we know that a major decision needs to be made. We can become so mentally and emotionally drained that everything that we have learned in regards to self-care and maintaining our mental health falls by the wayside. It is because we often don't truly know how to prepare for moments of uncertainty or distress.
There is no true way to prepare for the unexpected, but if we constantly feed the spiritual, emotional, and mental parts of our beings then when the unexpected happens we will better be able to handle it. We must constantly pray, meditate, be in tune with our bodies, and practice other self-care techniques so that we keep ourselves centered and are not falling apart because something happens. We must train our minds, emotions, and our spirit to respond to peace, calmness, and the voice of God. We often feel unsettled because we have loss control of ourselves and are not centered. But, we don't want to be victims of our circumstances. Instead, we want to be an overcomer in our circumstances.
We must decide that no matter what life throws at us, that we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ. Our mental health and spiritual heath go hand in hand. Therefore, if your spirit is settled then your mind is settled. This is ultimately where we want to be. Are you willing to do what it takes to get there? #MJConsistencyChallenge #MJConsistnecyPays
