Don't Lose Focus....Trust the Process!

We live in a world of instant gratification and we want everything right now! The drive-thru lane was invented to allow things to come faster and more convenient. When that wasn't enough, someone decided that two drive-thru lanes would make more sense and allow the "fast food" chains to become more efficient. In reality, it slowed down the process and made everyone more lazy because we then had a second reason to not get out of the car. We are always trying to rush the process of things and make all things come together in a microwave fashion. But why? Is it because we are just incapable of waiting? Or are we afraid of the process?

Everything is a process. Nothing comes easy. Processes reveal things to us and in us. It is in the process that we gain strength, develop tenacity, and really find out what we are made of. Things often happen that try to completely throw us off course. Those things often put us in a bad place and causes us to be thrown off. We often pray for things or God has shown us that the things that we have prayed for will come to pass, but He doesn't always show us the process. It is in the process that we gain strength, develop tenacity, and really find out what we are made of. We tend to think that when things don't happen in our timing or the way that we want, that it wasn't meant to be. But, the reality of the matter is that we do not have any control over how our prayers, desires, hopes, and dreams will manifest themselves.

When we learn to keep our eye on the prize or stay focused on the goal, we don't have to time to be concerned with the length of time and the perplexity of the task. We need to trust that as we keep working, praying, pressing, and moving the thing that we are praying for, hoping for, and waiting for will surely come to pass. We can't allow ourselves to be distracted by the distractions, nor startled by the storms. Anything structure that is grand and opulent took time to develop and then to build. There is a process to doing anything good and right the right way and when we skip steps to rush the process, things often don't turn out the way we wanted them to. Do you want to be a victim of regret and looking back and wishing that you would have waited and trusted the process? Great things are always worth waiting for and more rewarding. Let's learn to stop living our lives in the microwave and start putting some things in the slow cooker. Trust the process....It will feel good in the end!
